Day Twenty-Five
Inspiration is all around us, everyday. Have you noticed how many people in your day inspire you? I am referring to genuine everyday people, who are working on their selves, improving their lives, and releasing their selves of what no longer serves them. It is not the perfect pictures on social media, it is raw, honest, authentic people. The ones who say it like it is, the ones that share their lives which is a mixture of the highs and the lows. It is keeping this life real, in a world where we are encouraged to be anything but real.
Being ourselves, sharing our lives, our struggles, our highs, being honest with those around us, and following our dreams, is inspiring. You reading this inspires me. Why? Because you are working hard on your life, you look at yourself in the mirror and have the honest conversation with yourself, there is something blocking you from showing the world the true you and you are making daily decisions to show up more as yourself. You are deciding to not let others thoughts and opinions to rule your life anymore. You are giving yourself permission to be you, to embrace your uniqueness and to own it.
Our lives are not for hiding a piece of ourselves from the world, it is about knowing the person you are at home is the same person once you have locked your front door and are facing the world. For some, hiding yourself has been something you have done for years, you are disconnected, and right now struggle to answer who you are without looking for someone else to answer for you.
Take a moment and ask, are you hiding yourself from the world? Do you feel like you need to be someone to get through the day? Do you feel emotions you are supressing, or are you completely numb? Do you want to release yourself from this place? I have been there, I have been that person who was numb, I have been that person who had cut myself off from feelings. When I started to realise this and allow myself the space to feel, well that was a whole new world.
It is time now to release yourself, to no longer hide away. I know you have been slowly working away at this, however it takes time. You inspire me, because every time you choose to show up in this world as yourself, to no longer hide away, to release yourself from what no longer serves you, you are believing in yourself, and that is amazing.
Can you take a moment, and just feel what a day would be like to just be yourself, to not be guarded, to not be doubling guessing what others are saying or meaning, to not have that negative self talk ruling your day? Can you picture this day, can you see yourself walking around with that smile on your face, feeling confident and you believe in yourself? Can you feel that day?

(Day Twenty-Five: My focus for the month of April, is to blog everyday. I am setting aside 30 minutes at the end of the day to connect with my message to share with you. The idea behind this, is to limit the overthinking, to minimise the censoring and just to connect with a theme I would like to share for the day.)
