Your body, it is sending you signals all the time. Do you notice when you are tired and drained, or do you just continue to push through your never-ending to do list? Do you notice that headache, or just pop a painkiller and have another coffee hoping it will go away soon? Do you notice when your skin is blotchy, dry and patchy?
Your body is sending you signals every single day, some days it is screaming at you to just pay attention. Now I am not medically trained, this is all based on my own observations and research. There is so much information out there for us to be able to understand our own bodies better.
I have noticed my body is mainly effected by emotions. I am starting to wonder if there are some negative effects from food, however that discovery is for later on. The list of what effects your body and the meanings is one crazy long list, and takes time to work out in relation to your body.
However before you can know your triggers, you need to be noticing the signals your body is sending you every day.
From feeling tired and drained, do you allocate some time for rest and relaxation or look at your food? Weekends are a fantastic time for this, if you notice during the week, you are really struggling can you allocate half a day to binge watch a TV series on Netflix? Is there a particular food you know helps when you are flat?
That headache, the stiff shoulder, the pain in your lower back, those feet that are burning up, the sore throat, the itchy skin, the neck pain, the bloated stomach. It is all signs from your body.
Once you notice something is regularly occurring, I have found what has helped me is to then jot down some notes. Ask yourself – what have I eaten? Have I been drinking enough water? And how do I currently feel?
Listen to your body, it is always talking to you.
I would love to hear from you, what signal have you noticed about your body, and what was the connection you made?
(Day Six: My focus for the month of April, is to blog everyday. I am setting aside 30 minutes at the end of the day to connect with my message to share with you. The idea behind this, is to limit the overthinking, to minimise the censoring and just to connect with a theme I would like to share for the day.)
